[He'd only been distracted a moment, but that moment was just enough to crash headlong into his son friend. With a yelp and a failed dodge, he takes them both careening awkwardly to the ground. Shaking it off and hoisting himself on to his arms, a little miffed, a look of delight spreads across his face at who it is.]

Hey!! Fancy meetin' you here!

[Snow, despite being a very thick-headed wall, wobbling to one side and then falling with a hard 'thud' onto the ground. It was like being barreled into by a very hyperactive but favorite golden lab.

He couldn't help but burst out laughing once the comically stunned expression came off his face.]

Zell! I've been wondering where you got yourself off to. How you been?

[combatking]

[The laughter is contagious. And really at this time, everyone needs a good laugh. He quickly jumps up, extending a hand.]

I'm alright! Had a little mishap earlier, but I'm fine now. So this place is armored as hell, huh? Guess the events got everyone either slaughtering or protecting, huh?

[He smiled brightly, getting up on one knee before taking that hand to help himself up. The scene all in all was rather amusing, if any passerby happened to see it, given he'd gotten barreled over by a small-framed teen.]

Well, we're not playing into it. I'd rather make sure we got all our bases covered, plus doing the patrol around where people need it.

You should stay. We could use you. Really though, you should try some of Angeal's home cooking. It's almost as good as Lebreau's. [Almost. And that was saying something.]

Ohhhh you don't have to tell me twice about his amazin' cooking. For a while he was giving me lessons, and I may have been using lessons as an excuse to stay for dinner. Dunno who Lebreau is, but if he's better than Angeal, I might have to accompany you back to your world..

[Waving his hands in front of him though, nd thus the conversation for the moment..] Wait but more importantly! Do your patrols in pairs if you can! I was goin' solo an' that's how Loki got me. Well honestly he mighta been able to get us if there were two, bein' a god an' all, but safety in numbers, right?

His blue eyes brightened as he listened to the other pugilist talk.]

She, actually but she is kinda like one of the guys. Her home cooking is my home town's secret weapon. Still, I'd love to see those two do a cook down.

Loki...? Oh, hey. I met that guy over the network! So he's patroling with you? He seems pretty swell. I wouldn't mind having him here, to be honest. He needs to come visit since he's never been here, anyway.

Uhh.. no. He kinda murdered me. It really sucked of him a lot. If he comes in here, it's probly to harvest more parts.

[Snow stopped and stared.]

[He staggered, taking a step back. True he hadn't known the guy but still. That was a heavy blow. Ouch. Right to his judgment of character.]

How can you just...be here right now? Damn, Zell. When did this happen? Are you...okay?

[How can he just come back from that so casually?]

[Cocking his head, he's almost not sure why this is news. But now everyone watches their PCDs like a hawk.]

A couple days ago.. [His expression turns dark, and he snorts.] That ass got a really good upperhand an' I was ultimately defeated, which fuckin' blows. [Crossing his arms, he looks to the side, hoping to hide some of the red spreading in his cheeks. It was a downright embarrassing defeat, god or no god.]

Again, I'm fine now.. I woke up in that stupid church a few hours after the fact. Guess the Animus lowered the respawn time.. plus I still haven't figured out if I got a death price or not, which is just KILLING me. [No pun intended.]

I...didn't know. I didn't even see it. How could I have missed something like that?

[The hero had been oblivious to his friend's plight and now he'd died. But...he was so glad Zell had come back. But that just left such a tangle of thoughts behind and as a self-proclaimed hero this was really hard for him to deal with.]

I also didn't know you could come back. I'm so sorry, I wish...if only there was something I could've done.

[Snow would be guilty over this, and angry with Loki over his actions. He couldn't condone murder, especially when Zell had helped him out. He was a friend.]

Is there anything I can do for you? I mean, you shouldn't have been alone.

Uhh, it's pretty easy t'miss if your PCD's off or in another room.

[He shakes his head and reassures the man..] Don't take this the wrong way, but I'm glad you weren't there. I didn't call for help 'cause I didn't want you guys to come when it was already too late an' have the same thing happen.

I.. definitely know I shouldn't've been, but I.. wasn't really thinkin've the danger. Vriska, Karkat an' Hanna were all prime targets, so I kinda forgot I had somea the parts too.

Zell...Listen. I don't want there to be a next time. I want to help protect you.

[This was just who Snow was. And he couldn't accept that Zell was being so casual about this whole thing. Still, what was done was done. There was no taking it back.]

I understand but, I just don't want to see you get hurt anymore. You're a nice guy. I think of you as a friend. You helped me. So I want to help you, too. What do you say we make a pact and train together? Then we can keep getting stronger, together. And no matter what happens, I'll make sure you get the help you need.
